              BRANDING

Oblivious.Co

Developing a bold and contemporary brand identity for Oblivious.Co, an opticians redefining eyewear for a Gen Z audience. The brand challenges outdated perceptions of glasses by positioning them as a confident style statement rather than just a necessity.

Oblivious.Co focuses on creating trend-led, expressive eyewear designed specifically for teens and young adults, encouraging them to embrace glasses as part of their identity and personal style. Through playful yet fashion-forward visuals, distinctive typography, and culturally relevant messaging, the brand aims to resonate with a generation that values individuality, authenticity, and self-expression.

The overall branding approach celebrates confidence and creativity, transforming glasses into something to be proud of, an accessory that enhances personality rather than hides it.

Viens Palace

A branding redesign for Viens Palace, a small independent Chinese takeaway based in Bristol. The project focuses on reimagining the visual identity of the business by drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese pottery, its forms, patterns, and craftsmanship, while deliberately moving away from the stereotypical red and yellow colour palette commonly associated with Chinese restaurants.

Instead, the new identity introduces a more distinctive and contemporary colour scheme, allowing the brand to stand out within a highly competitive local market. This approach balances cultural reference with modern design sensibilities, creating a look that feels both authentic and refreshingly different.

The outcome includes a cohesive set of brand applications, featuring two advertisement poster designs and a fully redesigned menu. Together, these elements aim to elevate the perception of Viens Palace, attract a broader audience, and create a memorable visual presence that reflects both quality and individuality.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE WEEK - UWE

Working collaboratively, I developed a cohesive visual identity for Professional Practice Week at UWE Bristol, with a focus on establishing a clear and scalable brand system across digital touchpoints. Deliverables included an Eventbrite banner and a suite of nine Instagram assets, ensuring visual consistency and strong audience engagement.

The concept was built around themes of navigation and progression, using a distinctive arrow motif as the core brand element. This device was applied consistently to create a recognisable visual language, symbolising students’ transition from university into professional life. A system of three arrows was introduced to represent the key stages of the university journey, reinforcing the brand narrative of direction, development, and forward momentum.
